I have an orchestral score and I have a snare drum part that has an instrument change to vibraphone. It all seemed to be playing back fine, but then when I tried to play the vibraphone part a second time, the vibraphone didn't make any sound at all. Clicking on the notes also made no sound. Quitting and reopening Sibelius seemed to help, but then playing the vibraphone part it a second time it again made no sound. Has anyone else experienced this (or a similar) issue or does anyone know how to fix this? It only happens with the vibraphone. All my other instrument changes are fine. Thanks

It's not a great idea to have a tuned instrument on the same staff as an untuned one.

A better strategy is to keep them on separate staves and then use appropriate system breaks and hide empty staves to make it appear like one line.
For the part - once you have completely finished adding notes - create a new part with two staves (drum kit. Xylophone) use hide empty staves and judicious system breaks to make it look like a single part.

Good idea, although I would hope for a non-workaround. Also mixing pitched and non-pitched percussion is usually fine because an orchestral percussionist should be able to play both.

Yes, but sibelius is not an orchestral percussionist. You can certainly write it on one staff, but to ensure playback is always correct, you should not have tuned and untuned percussion on the same staff.
