Getting an upgrade from Photoscore Lite v5.5

Hi,
I got a copy of Photoscore Lite v5.5 which came with Sibelius 4. It's hopelessly unreliable, it crashes, hangs, gets stuck in loops, if you read pages in the wrong order there's no way to correct the order etc. etc.
Is there a way of getting an upgrade to a more reliable version, without payiong the full price of Photoscore Ultimate, which I just can't justify the cost of.
