Multiple voices on one staff...

I scan choral music which often has two voices on one staff. Photoscore does a terrible job of determining which notes belong to which voice. I'm wondering if there are some settings or something that I could try to help Photoscore do a better job?

The music I'm scanning does not use stem direction to indicate voices, at least not unless necessary. So the rule really is that the top note is voice 1 and the bottom note is voice 2 but Photoscore doesn't think so...

here is the screenshot. It shows an SATB choral piece. The highlighted section is one line which contains a soprano voice and an alto voice. Thanks!
You will use Voice 1 or 2 only if you need different rhythms between the two. You could change the voices to 3 and 4 for all the difference it makes. Sibelius will not playback the voices separately anyway. If you need soprano playback by itself(for example) you will need each voice on a different staff.

Yes, I want the voices on separate staffs and I was planning on using Sibelius' Explode function to do that. But in order to use the Explode function I need the voices to be identified properly. It almost seems to me that it would be easier to input everything from scratch rather than trying to correct the voicing - whether I correct the voicing before or after Exploding... Thanks for your attention )
Photo Score did exactly what it knows how to do. Again, voices 1,2,3,and 4 are not supposed to correspond to SATB. You could, for example, switch the input pad to green voice 2, touch the treble "D" in measure 10 and it will turn green. You can do this for all four voices.
Yes, most people find it easier to manually input music than use PS.
I might be tempted to fix all the rhythm mistakes and transfer to Sibelius then add alto and tenor staves. You can filter for upper or lower notes, then copy and paste. I've heard of people doing that.
Maybe do the explode anyway and fix what happens.
