Scanning leadsheet without staves

Hi, I am planning to purchase Photoscore 8, and need to know if the following requirement can be solved by photoscan
I have several leadsheets here with lyrics and chords, but without staves.
I want to scan them and add staves to insert notes just for the melody.
I tested the demoversion, but it does not bring any result, if it does not find at least one stave.
Sheets with staves lyrics and chords had been accepted.
Is it not possible, or did I configurate it wrong?
The important thing for me is to that the software should keep the accurate position of the chords above the text and gives me the option to insert staves for manual input of notes.

Well, don't forget, PS is for scanning music. Text is secondary.

The only way I can think to do what you want is to create the music staff if Sib, then copy and paste the lyrics. You'll probably have to add chords manually.

Thank you for your answer.
yes in many cases you have the notes and the text
and the cords above the text on the right position.
Photoscan will handle this all.
But on a lead sheet there is still musical information.
The chords are above the text at the exact position and the text often is cut into word fragments.
Example "I'm sing - ing in the rain" . I tested several ocr applications
and they don't handle the word fragments in a way we musicians need.
So photoscore could do this job, by letting me insert dummy staves, or
asks me to assign text and score row.
