I get these weird characters where the notes should be. They look like either really large squares about 4x as big as a standard note or like letters (i, a, k, etc).

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and have had no luck.

It took about 5 attempts but uninstalling and reinstalling did the trick.
