Hi All

I have a simple question about the Roland XP-80 Keyboard MIDI transmission.

My set up is a Roland XP-80 (performance mode) connected to a Kurweil PC2R sound module (patch mode).

My onboard XP-80 sequencer is playing on a few different midi channels. For example, drums play on channel 10-part 10 but the kurweil piano sound is playing every note the drum plays.

I have other midi events from the other channels as well which is playing the Kurzewiel in Patch mode.

So the kurweil in patch mode sounds noisy.

My GOAL: is to transmit only ONE midi channel to the kurzweil - which will be the part/channel that I play on the XP-50?

Any idea on how to set up midi for this - or is it impossible. and should I simply set up the kurzweil to only receive on channel X for patch mode?

BONUS QUESTION:
Also is there a way to specify that device X will receive midi channel 2 and device Z will receive midi channel 4 - in the event that I have 2 different sound modules which I want to play in patch mode.

stev
