As the warning note says, you need to go to Play > Playback Configurations, and choose a different configuration that supports export. In my case it meant switching from General MIDI (basic) to General MIDI (enhanced), which allowed the export to a .wav file.

Hope that helps...

You need to unlock the format (with Layout > Format > Unlock Format) and Sibelius should space your score out. This often happens with the export from Photoscore as the latter seems to be able to handle more lines than the default of Sibelius. Optimising staff spacing etc. then might help to get bet...

Can't help, but Sibelius 6.1 is noticeably worse than 5 in playback on my Vista laptop. As you say, it seems muffled, especially when more than one instrument is playing. Tweaking Midi and mixer settings/effects doesn't seem to help much. It's Ok when using say solo harpsichord or piano for accompan...

Well, apart from adjusting your computer's internal volume controls, you can use Sibelius' Mixer window to change the overall (master) volume, as well as that for the individual parts (instruments). There are probably other ways too, but this seems a good place to start.

There's Audioscore, written by Neurotron (the Photoscore people) that purports to do the job. Presumably export direct to Sibelius would be possible too. No idea how good it would be, though, probably a bit hit and miss as usual.
