custom views for parts

I have scores showing 2 bars or even 1 bar for system. This might be ok for full view, but if I want to isolate one or two instruments, chances are high that a more dense display will be more readable.

Is that achievable in Sibelius 7.1? I haven't found how yet

thanks

midi files with bars displaced 1+ beats (or fractions)

I often load Sibelius with a midi file from internet. Sometimes, the resulting Sibelius score gets "offset" in bar hits. I mean, notes and chords that should be in beat 1 are in beat 2.... These scores, more often than not, seem to be generated from a midi device in real-time, so there a lots of tup...

Re: Sibelius 7.1 Windows 10 Compatibility

I am unlucky. Installed W10 yesterday, Sibelius 7.1 worked well. Late evening it had a problem with the audio device (I use two devices, internal from the pc, realtek, and a external M-Audio). Today, invoking Sibelius crashes and it enters debug mode. It is unusable. I am stuck, possibly no hopes to...

playback

I can't export audio because the following message

the current playback configuration does not contain any virtual instruments.

but I do ear the playback within Sibelius

Playback devices point to MS GS Wavetable, as usual,.... I can't figure out what is missing...

moving passages without deleting the target stave

Not a new topic, but I can't find my way to achieve that I have a percussion , multivoice, staff,.. I want to "move" to another non-empty stave (so insert, without overwritting the contents of the destination staff) a selection made by advanced filter (in my case, hits of the same instrument, so not...

The third question possibly would imply changing the plugin, that would require mastering the language, which is certainly not my case

thanks, they do the job, although I have some questions: -is it feasible to make the plugins (specially GoTo) to "stay" visible without blocking the other windows (so, not to be modal windows, if I remember well)?. I have to invoke it every time I want to go to a specified bookmark -Is there any way...

Percussion, how to know?

I have a score with a percussion stave. I would like to know what sound fits every note (there are 10 different hits in the stave). I Edit the instrument, go to Edit Staff Type (it is an unpitched percussion), but I can only see the Input Using Pitch value, which means nothing in terms of sound or G...

Traversing the score

I know how to travel on a score to a certain page or measure number But, is there any way to travel to sections, sections possibly being a rehearal marker or, even better, a system text? Ideal options for such feature would be going to next, previous, last, first,... or by name (Verse 2, Intro 1, Ch...

Exporting to audio

when exporting to audio, looks like Sibelius adds an extra heading time (half a measure or so), compared to the export to a MIDI file.

I load both (the wav and the mid) in a sequencer, and they are not in sync

Maybe is there a parameter to control it?

thanks

MIDI notes on export, sequence

I would like to know how sibelius sequences notes in a chord when exporting to midi.

Say, I have 5 notes in a stave playing at the "same time". When exporting, necessarily each of them is placed in one event. Question is, in which order? By ascending pitch? By layer? Random?

thanks

I found the answer myself
On inkpen 2 chords the hash symbol is ASCII 035, so keying Alt-0-3-5 (on the numeric kbd) makes the trick

chords manual input

I use Ctrl-K (windows) to input chords.. but, I am unable to input F#m (the hash symbol).... where is it?

Font seems to be Inkpen 2 Chords (chord symbols) or maybe AshAlpah (Text Font), I don't know which one applies to the chord input operation

multivoice in strings

In violin (strings) parts with more than one voice, only one sounds in playback. Why? Is something I missconfigured in the instrument?

thanks
