Thanks for the tip. This is definitely a step in the right direction, but it looks like this is an all-or-nothing command. I tried it out and it turned ALL my bar rests into multi-measure rests, including the ones at the end of my score which I still plan to enter music into. I tried the "split mult...

Thanks for your help with these. It looks like I should definitely upgrade to Sibelius 6 in the near future. I'll try to delete posts that have already been addressed to avoid redundancy. That plugin definitely sounds like it would do the trick, but I feel like it sort of interrupts a user's workflo...

copying/pasting with tuplets
I'm sure most Sibelius users have been frustrated by the fact that you can't copy a single partial of a tuplet, or paste things to a note that is part of a tuplet. If we try, we get that annoying sound and error message. After we're done cursing ourselves for forgetting to select the entire tuplet, ...

making tuplets out of existing notes
It would be nice if it were possible to take notes that have already been inputted and turn them into tuplets without having to delete and re-enter them. This would allow the writer to maintain the pitches, articulations, text, etc. they already chose and not risk forgetting to add them back in. For...

triplets to eigth-notes and vice versa
There have been many times where I've written a large chunk of music in 4/4 time that ends up mostly being triplet rhythms, and later wish that I had written it in 12/8 with eighth note rhythms (grouped in 3's). Sometimes the same thing happens in reverse as well. I usually end up leaving it the way...

Tuplets over the barline
It would be great if it were possible to input tuplets that cross over barlines without having to go through a whole mess. For example: in 4/4 time; writing a quarter-note-triplet that starts on beat 4 of the first measures and continues through beat 1 of the following measure. Currently, to trick S...

Custom Filters
It would be great if it were possible to save customized filters. For example, I do a lot of switching back and forth between filtering percussion stickings and filtering pedal lines. It takes about 7 mouse clicks each time I want to switch back and forth. It would be great if I could create custom ...

turn off playback for ties
It would be nice if it was possible to turn off the playback (function) of ties without turning off the playback of the note itself. I realize this sounds like an odd request, but there is a reason for it. In percussion music (especially cymbals and other long-ringing instruments), it is common to h...

Multi-measure rests in scores
It would be great if the "create multi-measure rest" function worked in scores too, instead of just the separate parts. I write/arrange a lot of front ensemble and battery (marching percussion) music for marching bands. Typically, people like myself create a completely separate scores just for the b...

easy repeat bars
When writing for percussion, there are often situations where it is beneficial to use shorthand for repeated patterns. It is already possible to do in Sibelius, but it seems unnecessarily complicated if you want it to play back correctly, or if you want to repeat a 2 or 4 measure pattern. Currently,...
