Thanks alot, that is a big help. There is one more thing: During working on the piece some of the bars move around, causing my custumised signs (placed at the left next to the clef on every line) to move around as well and end up misplaced. ok I managed to create the symbols I want through combinations of existing ones (through house styles>create symbol...), I am happy with them but the problem now is that they become part of the body of symbols (when I press z) available only for the score in which they were created.
