I don't understand why adding an extra part is so complicated. I imagine it would be a quick simple function, but it's always messy. It's even worse in Finale. Yes, Sibelius does utilize the keyboard efficiently, maybe more than Finale. Finale had some things pretty awkward. To change layers, for example, you have to press Ctrl, shift, number. It's weird that you would feel that way. 6 is definitely better. This must have to do with your computer itself.

Any recommedned keyboards?

Hi! Whether we use Sibelius or Finale, I think using the regular computer keyboards comes with a cost. They were not designed for notation programs. I image someone must have invented a dedicated keyboards that will let you use the programs more efficiently.

Anyone heard of such a thing?

Accidentals remain in tied notes

Hello everyone. I am trying to switch from Finale but it's taking me so long to adapt. For instance, when I enter an accidental on a note that is tied to another, it enters the flat but then puts a default natural on the note tied to it. That's fine, but when I try to turn that into flat, it doesn't...
