Re: How do I separate chords into parts?

You can use the Explode function for this (under Note Input in Sibelius 7). You'll probably want to create your SATB parts beforehand for the output to go into. As usual it's a bit of a blunt tool so you may need to adjust the results afterwards to get it 'just right'.

Re: ENLARGING GUITAR TAB NUMBERS

Not sure about Sibelius 4, but it may be similar to how Sibelius 5 works (the oldest version I have access to) in that respect. From the reference manual: To change or create a text style, choose House Style > Edit Text Styles (shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Alt+T). Select Tablature numbers > Edit Then change ...

Re: Transferring sib 4 files ( song charts, not audio)

Can you export your score in pdf format? Your graphic designer should be able to handle this format. Later versions of Sibelius include the option to export as pdf, but not sure whether sib 4 has. If not and you use Windows 10 you should be able to 'print' drectly to pdf using Microsoft Print to PDF...

Yes. Alternatively, there is a function called Change Instrument to do the same thing without the need to add a new staff.

Re: changing keys, need to see new signatures

You could add the key sig. at the appropriate bar by pressing K and then choosing your desired key from the list.
Then select bars or the whole score and find the Simplify accidentals plugin and run that.

(Just my suggestion, not sure if it does what you want).

Re: Hide Time Signature - New Movement with Pickup Measure

If you're appending files and the fourth movement file has the pick up bar and new time signature in place Sibelius should take care of this. There should be no need to add the measure and time/key signatures at the end of the third movement. Adding the new time sig to the pickup bar seems to be con...

Re: Play a single bar differently the 2nd time?

Probably the easiest way to achieve this is by using the Play on pass facility within the Inspector (Ctrl Shift I). All you need do is add your alternative note or notes in the bar in a new voice (e.g. voice 3) and set or deselect the play on pass for each note accordingly (ie. 1 or 2). You may also...

You could also attach a zipped file (.zip) of your .Sib score to a post.

You may have more luck if you try to Upload your image file (jpg/bmp) as an attachment (lower part of Post Reply screen).

Re: Issues with Mixer Panel and Playback volumes

When you hit the Post a Reply button there are various options for inserting URLs, or you can use Upload attachment and attach a screenshot as an image file.

Perhaps more useful would be attach a .zip file of your Sibelius file to enable forum members to look at the score.

Re: Saving Score & Parts as PDF?

Ah maybe so, or some weird Mac-Sibelius things going on. Sorry, someone else with a similar setup (or better knowledge) will have to help.

Maybe posting a screenshot of your Export screen might help.

Re: Saving Score & Parts as PDF?

(Instructions for Sib 7.5) File > Export > PDF > All parts only (separate files). Or Score and all parts (separate files) if you want to include the score. Or the same with (one file) if you just want a single file. Make sure you have a parts wildcard in the filename (something like %f - %p.pdf) for...

Re: Appoggiatura too close

Your settings will only apply to the score you changed them in, and should have been retained for good when you saved it. To re-use the same settings on other scores you can save them with Appearance > House Style > Export, and Import them to a new score. There are some options in Import that you ca...

Re: Appoggiatura too close

You could apply Reset Note Spacing (also under Appearance). You might want to be careful if you apply this to the whole score as it may move other things around too much.

Re: How to edit grafically the 1st or 2nd Ending?

Yes, up to a point. This is how I'd do it in Sibelius 7.5: - Select the ending type (1st, 2nd etc) in the Lines menu on the ribbon and press the Edit Lines button om the bottom right corner. - Then press Edit... in the bottom left - OR define a New... line based on the standard ones if you don't wan...
