Hi there Ray
You could try deselecting everything first, and then choosing Create-Bar-Single and click far to the left of the first bar. It should then create an extra bar before your previous bar 1. (Probably you'll then have to rearrange time signatures and so forth)
Hope it helps

How to do this, I hope
Hi AltoSaxKid I think what you need to do is split the music into separate voices. This way you have rhythmic independence of the parts (up to 4 of them in one staff). In particular, you'll want to move some music out of voice 1 into, typically, voice 2. To do this, you select a note, go to 'Edit-Vo...
About that tremolo
Hi there Rob Hmmm, a dotted crotchet tremolo, then a minim tremolo. Well, maybe this'll work. 1. Input dotted quaver for the 'left' tremolo bit, followed immediately by dotted quaver for 'right' bit. 2. Select these two bits, then go to keypad area 3, select three lines through (number 3), then trem...

About number 1
My idea for the implementation of idea #1 is: MIDI input (step- or flexitime) has a filter (cf ProTools, for example), which determines which MIDI information is heeded by Sibelius. The current state of play is that, basically, rhythm and pitch are recorded, but adding the possibility of velocity, m...

Try this
Salut Marc Sometimes Sibelius can put you in silly situations like this. I have four suggestions which may or may not help: 1. Layout-Reset Note Spacing (I guess you've probably tried this one) - this may put things in the right place. 2. Drag the barline around - it won't move but everything else w...

Great idea
As far as I know the following is not possible: - Select a voice in one staff (using filters) - Copy the voice *over* an existing voice in another staff without deleting the existing voice. Or am I missing something? The above should actually work. Fitering (voice 1 only, voice 2 only etc.) should ...

Here are some ideas, folks
Sorry, this is kinda long. Let's get this ball rolling... Well, I have four ideas off the top of my head:  1. Improved MIDI capabilities - for example, control over note velocities (recording and playback) and various randomizations. (I know Sibelius's focus is on notation, but if more ...
