Re: Sibelius sound font
Thank you to Bob and Andy both for enlightening me. Andy says (referring to Sibelius): 1) it doesn't use soundfonts of any type 2) they deliberately made it so that you cannot use Sibelius sounds in any other instrument. That'll put paid to my initial idea, I guess. On then to Bob's suggestions: So,...

Re: Sibelius sound font
Hi Bob, Thank you for your reply. First of all: for over a decade, I have been searching high and low for a virtual banjo instrument. There are plenty of 5-string banjo emulations about, I found out - but nothing even remotely like the trad jazz type I'd need. Banjo sample as included in Sibelius So...

Sibelius sound font
Hello all,
My question is a very concise one: is Sibelius musical instrument sample built on sfz? I have been googling for clarification quite a bit, last weekend, but nothing much came up.

(electric) string instrument input
Greetings all! As to my personal 'wish list': I'd like improvement of AudioScore. I always find it difficult (if not downright impossible) to replicate the natural string instrument 'feel' with MIDI piano - acoustic/electric strings the best way, I should think. However, I have yet to find a guitar ...

electric string instrument as MIDI controller for Sibelius 7
Greetings all, A digital, MIDI-enabled piano will play an empty single-instrument score left exactly the way it is (i.e. empty - meaning without any embellishments whatsoever) as if it were a real instrument, in real-time . Provided MIDI interface and ASIO4ALL have been correctly connected/installed...

Re: Sibelius 7 & Mini2USB analogue-to-digital converter
Hi Andy, Thanks for your reaction. This is an audio to USB converter. […] Cheap USB-Audio leads are usually crap, period! If this one works OK, great. If not, and this function is important to your work, invest in a small USB mixer, which will do the job better. You probably won't get much joy plugg...

Re: how to disable note input when playing ?
Hi there, Your opening message was posted some time ago. But a reply may still serve the wider community. You don't give any information about the Sibelius release on your system. Please bear in mind that my method only works in Sibelius 6 & 7 - in my experience at least - so you may have to upgrade...

Sibelius 7 & Mini2USB analogue-to-digital converter
Greetings all! Brand new in this forum - and yes, I'd like to open with a little MIDI matter. But before I do, I first need to explain a thing or two. In my household, notation is not the sole function of Sibelius 7. It's also coming in very handily as a 'musical instrument generator', as it where: ...
