Re: About this forum
To be quite honest, until a short time ago, this forum was pretty much moribund. It had it's hayday in the early days of sib and, for various reasons, became a haven for those who had cracked versions of sib or for those who loathe Avid enough that they can't bear to be associated with them. Even n...

Re: Instrument playback volume
How are you setting the volume of each staff in the score? Sorry for late reply! I believe I've understood the cause of my problem https://www.sibeliusforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=71420&p=83999#p83999 I use some expression like p and f The vsti vol out in the mixer and the instrument vol in Kontakt.

About this forum
Hello! I'm demoing Sibelius 8 Ultimate, and a big part of that demo is support and forums. Now, the official forum is closed to me, as license is needed. So, that brings me here. Can you explain to me the difference between this forum and the official Avid one? What's the spirit like, what to ask wh...

Re: vsti errors
Sibelius is not a DAW, so please don't expect it to act like one! It handles VSTi's differently. Yes, you'll have to create the playback configuration(s) you need and apply them to your scores. The scores will then recall the correct playback configuration. If you make changes to a configuration, y...

vsti errors
Hi!
I'm demoing Sibelius making several songs.
But, I don't seem to understand the vsti handling.
When I save a project, is the playback devices settings not stored with project?
So, if I make any changes per project, that will need a separate vst configuration setup?

Instrument playback volume
Hi!
I'm having 2 instruments/ 2 staffs (oboe and violin)
both going to Kontakt5 vst (one instance)
but the oboe is always reset to -10,2db in Kontakt
-it's to low.
How do I understand and set playback-volume right?

Thank you!MikeLyons wrote:There's always the famouse "Behind Bars" by Elaine Gould. Get the hardback, tough, the Kindle version is really difficult to read on screen (at least it is for me!).
Seems like a must have for me
Re: Rebar
OK, I understand. the short answer is no. There is no automatic shortcut to this. However, why do you consider this to be wrong? It is syncopation which is very common. If it's purely a matter of style, then consider which is clearer - unless you are rescoring music that needs to be written in a ce...
