It appears that we are making progress against the spam bots. We had to take the drastic measure of removing all accounts that had zero posts. That deleted a lot of dormant accounts that the spam bots use, but also deleted a few legitimate accounts. Those people can simply sign up again. So far we h...

We've implemented a new fixed width layout for the Forums. Although we hated to give up the extra space on higher resolution monitors, it should speed up the loading time of the forums quite a bit (especially for IE users).

We have decided to moderate the registration process to prevent spam. Some people were signing up manually, but then a bot would post spam messages in bulk. Everyone who is currently registered shouldn't have a problem, but all new registrations will be moderated for awhile. Sorry for the recent spa...

We have implemented more spam controls in order to try to curb some of the spam these forums received. It is now necessary to enter a special VIP code when registering. Finding the code is very simple but will keep the bots out.
