Re: Anchoring Staff Text to Barline
Hi Mike - Thanks, but my question wasn't about any inability to put everything in consistent alignment. It was really a structural question in the interest of efficiency - as opposed to adjusting the x-offsets every time a music spacing change also moves the text from its best relationship to the ba...

Anchoring Staff Text to Barline
Today's dumb question... (For an opera FS, with many different staff text styles, and plenty of layout details to be handled...) There are places where the cleanest, most efficient anchoring for a text object is to a barline rather than to a specific beat. Sometimes dragging an object, or using the ...

Re: No arpeggio end points
Mike -
You had it right! I had accidentally left some input in the Symbol 1 slot, and emptying that slot solved everything. I'm a little curious what the structural relationship is that causes the change in how Sib presents arpeggios, but at least I know how to be more careful.
Thanks as always!

No arpeggio end points
Completely at a loss for what I might have done, but the top and bottom endpoints have disappeared from all arpeggio lines, and of course that means the line can't be extended via dragging. The recent 'keypad 5' arpeggios appear correctly (at least per defaults), but the lack of endpoints means I ca...

Re: Rhythmic alignment in empty bars
Mike - Thanks for the reply. I was afraid that a purely visual orientation was the way things would go. I was hoping for a (basically inspector) data entry point not just for the alignment offset, but for the rhythmic alignment point itself. I have tried entering specific rests so there would be a r...

Rhythmic alignment in empty bars
Dumb question of the day...
What is the fastest way to align objects (such as stage directions) to specific rhythmic points, when the bar in which it is anchored is empty?
Thanks!!

Re: Stage Directions
Hi - The most straightforward way to handle stage directions is to include a completely blank staff (no staff lines, barlines, clefs, keys, times, no nothing.) Your stage setting notes and directions can all be anchored to that staff and horizontally aligned in different ways. One trick I have is to...

Appending Measures no longer possible
Just upgraded to '23 Sib, and find that one of my most efficient working methods has been taken away. Until this month I could append mms from a file needing re-orchestration and/or changes in formatting by creating a single staff temp file of the old version and appending the 'single line' mms into...

Re: Keeping objects attached to the correct anchor
Thanks Mike,
Yes indeed! True enough, and as precise as one can get. But, given the added keystrokes to open Inspector, and adjusting for the reduced image size because of the screen space stolen by the inspector panel, I find this way of handling things just as slow as dragging...

Keeping objects attached to the correct anchor
This is a dumb question, and I'm pretty sure of the answer but... Am I correct that there is *no* way to keystroke objects (including text) in any direction without automatically shifting the anchor point? I know about about mouse-dragging with ALT/COM, but that is inherently less precise (or much m...

Filtering using text fonts
Is there a way to limit/expand the selection of text objects by specifying the font in which the text appears?

Weird Page View Issue
Truly weird... Any attempt to move a staff, or change note spacing, whether I'm using arrow keystrokes or mouse dragging, will also change the page currently in view back to page 1. It seems to happen no matter what combination of CTL, ALT, SHIFT I'm using. The actual moves are happening, but (of co...

Center Align Columned Objects/Align Both Ends of Hairpins
Hi Folks - One of those things that I am sure to be overlooking, but is it possible to set "align objects in column" to center (or right) justification? Also, is it possible resize column aligned hairpins to the same length? I'm guessing that there is a plugin outh there... Thanks. RVSL PS - I reali...
