I had the same problem and had to restart my computer. Funny thing was, I was actually opening Sibelius from within Avid Link in the first place!

Hi, Looks like my copy of perpertual license Sibelius 8.6 academic won't work properly on the new M1 Macbook. It opens and runs but there are problems with playback + chord entry and lyric entry at least. Does anyone know if support is likely or of any hacks to get it working? I don't really want to...
