Re: Sibelius MXLM stave import limit
Very likely a restriction. In fact Sibelius First is so restricted that it's really not worth having at all. Sibelius Artist is a little better but Ultimate is the only version that is any good. Unless you have plans to upgrade from First to Ultimate, I'd abandon ship and get Musescore 4. It's far m...

Re: Creating blocks of lyrics/text next to staves using Sibelius Free?
I'd agree with the others, and that makes replies from all three people still answering questions here! :) You do know that this is not the official Sibelius forum? The free version is not worth bothering with. Musescore is WAY better than that version of Sibelius and probably better than the mid ti...

Re: dynamic guitar staff
Of the three people left answering questions on this rather moribund unofficial forum, I can't help you with this one. The other two might, but I should point out that the official Sibelius forum is here: http://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpcenter/chat/chat.pl?groupid=3 You'll reach more users there...

Re: Cross stave spread chords
You may well have to do the stretching thing! You could just create one, then copy and paste if you need another. Trouble is, you may then have to shift it up or down and adjust the end points of the line. Me? I'm resigned to just arpeggiating the bass clef and stretching the line up. Not sure wheth...

Re: Deleting triplets
Don't delete the 3. You have the option to show numbers or not, and a lot of other options as well. All explained fully in the Reference Manual (F1). Search for 'tuplets' or 'triplets'.

Also worth remembering that older versions like 7.5 are not compatible with later Mac O/S versions. You'll get some functionality but odd things can happen.

Yes, delete all the notes and save as a Manuscript Paper.

Re: Add bars to top of existing score
Don't rely on Youtube! Read the Reference manual (F1 should open that) and search for 'add bars'. Highlight the first bar and right click or use the keyboard shortcuts. You should have 3 options. At end (Cmd+B), Single (Cmd+Shift+B) and Other (Option+B). Other will allow you to specify the number of...

Re: Separate System on a Page
This sort of thing is probably best done in a word processor. I'm not sure if Sibelius would do it well, if at all!
Create the music parts in Sibelius and export them as graphics. Import them into the word processor and you have full control over their size and placement.

Yes, just open both scores. You can switch between them and copy and paste, much like most apps. One app open, but two or more files open.

Steve. Also bear in mind that this is an old, unofficial forum, with only three of us left answering questions! The official site is here:
https://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpce ... ?groupid=3
This has been discussed a few times on the official forum, and it's definitely possible.

Re: Add a note to an existing one
Input the note and type the numeric interval on the computer keyboard numbers - not the keypad. That will add a note above the original. You can add as many as you like. So C 3 3 4 would give you, ascending, C E G C. If you hold Shift and enter the number for the interval it will add the note(s) bel...
