Unfortunately there's no ideal solution to either of these problems at the moment, but both are on our wish list for improving in a future version.

G7 is not really a version of Sibelius 3, but it was developed at the same time as Sibelius 3, and it saves files in a format compatible with Sibelius 3.

Make sure that your kick and snare notes are written in voice 2. If they're not currently in voice 2, you can swap them into voice 2 by selecting a bar and hitting Shift-V. Then select the first note in the first bar, hit N to show the caret, hit Alt+1 to ensure you're in voice 1, and away you go in...

That's a bit more complicated, I'm afraid. You'd need to add an extra staff to the score, hide it in the bars played by the first instrument, then hide the original instrument halfway through so that the other instrument can appear, and do things like reset the bar numbering, etc. It's a fair bit of...

These settings are saved in each score, so if you want to make a particular set of changes and then have these applied to all scores, export a manuscript paper based on a score with those settings, and start your new scores from that manuscript paper.

You can simply hit Return after inputting the first fingering number to input a second one below it.

G7 was released before Finale 2007, so it doesn't know how to open Finale 2007 files, I'm afraid.

If you want to attach the Finale score here, I could convert it to MusicXML for you, then open it in Sibelius 6, then export it in Sibelius 3 format, which would allow it to open in G7.

Not really: it's an option that you had switched on. It's up to you to decide what you want the software to do and set the options accordingly. Sibelius is clever, but it can't read your mind.

You'll need to manually change the font for that square box character to Opus Text, then (although for 99% of fonts that character would show as an underscore _ anyway).

Yes, you can create multiple parts based on the same staff, and then use an instrument change at the start of each part to change the transposition. See 'Parts in different transpositions' in '7.2 Editing parts' in Help > Documentation > Sibelius 6 Reference.

"nat." and "ord." reset the playback sound back to the default sound for that staff, so in the case of "strings.violin.spiccato" it resets the sound back to "strings.violin", which should allow the next sound ID change to be found correctly.
