HELP - Installing Sibelius 7 on 2nd Computer
Hi - I'm not a newbie, but I really feel like one. I've got 7.1 on my iMac and 6.2 on my MacBook Pro. When I got 7, I got the CDs and upgraded from 6 to 7 on my iMac with no problem. Now I want to do the same thing on my MacBook Pro. I insert the Install Disc and get the message that the Installer i...

Too Small Mixer and mm instead of inches
Hi - Two problems (nothing earth shattering): 1st Problem: No matter what I do, the Title, Composer, Instrument Names all are shown in mm and not inches. I've gone to the Preferences, switched that part of the "ruler" on and off several times, made sure I had check "inches" and not "mm", but it stil...

Keypad for Laptop Question
I've got a MacBook Pro running 10.7 and an iPod Touch. Can I simply connect the two with a wire (not wireless) thru the USB port and use the keypad app everyone is raving about as my "keypad"? Or, must this app be used only with a Bluetooth, something of which I'm very unfamiliar. Thanks in advance ...

Messsage error 1486?
Have Sibby 6.2, backing up everything, and using an iMac core duo. Finished several scores about the same time. Went to re-open one of them and received the "can't open" error message 1486. Tried opening the backed up files; same response. Other scores open fine. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.....

Sibelius on a laptop
Hi- I'm using Sib 6.2 on my iMac at home. Which used Mac laptop would be best to get? I don't need to use any memory-hogging sounds. I just want to work on notation. Thanks in advance.

Slow then fast response
Love this software, but I notice that when I first open Sibelius 6.2, it's veeerrryyy slow. But, as I use it, it speeds ups and performs quite quickly. I assume that's because of some sort of cache working. The more I use "things", the easier Sibby has in "finding" them again. Fine, but is it possib...

Add Slurs (Shift W) changes sound!
I'm working with Sibby 6.2 on an iMac. I'm using GPO4 as a sound source. Since I couldn't fine a way to use GPO's sounds for a click track, I also have Sibelius Essentials loaded in. All sounds work and sound great. However, when I use the shortcut suggested (select the note and hit S) nothing happe...

Mac OS 10.6.7 Problem persists-UGH!!!
Hi, all - My conflict with the OS 10.6.7 upgrade was mainly with the chord font position. This happened in almost every bar on my score. To fix this problem, I followed the 1st suggestion dis-abling the fonts. Nope, didn't work. Then, per the 2nd suggestion, I trashed the fonts suggested, Inkpen, Op...

YIKES - IT HAPPENED AGAIN!
Got the weird problem happening again. I'm working on something. I want to input a note, either with my MIDI keyboard or with the cursor. I click on the bar, select a note value and hit, let's say, a "C" on my mac keyboard. (No, it's not a keyboard problem). The cursor changes color as always, but t...

REALLY STRANGE!!!
Hi - So, everything is going along fine. Then suddenly, when I'm taking the dot from a note (using the keypad) or changing the duration of the note, again using the keypad), the new note suddenly begins "inputting" itself automatically, note after note, usually on the 2nd line from the top of either...

No - Keyboard is US (and I tried US Extended, too). I really think it's a simple thing of which I'm just not aware. I learned long ago that, if something isn't working, check to make sure it's plugged in! So, it's gotta be me, I'm' sure. Thanks for any help and, again, this isn't a huge deal as long...

Escape Key Not Working
I don't use the ESC key much except in Sibby 6, but I just tried it on YouTube and, no, it's not working there, either. So, it's got something to do with the new Snow Leopard. Being a musician and not a tech-savy person, I could use some help about this problem. Thanks in advance...
