Sibelius is aimed to score printing, not playing.
If it also plays, it's a plus.

I never saw such an option...
Maybe there is some trick to do it, but I'm currently unaware of it.

Classical guitar notation: capo and half capo?

Hi,

How can I write a capo and a half capo on a classical guitar score?
Here is an example from an old scanned score (half capo at left, capo at right):

Thanks in advance.

If you have a PDF printer installed, you can just print the score directly to PDF.
Adobe Acrobat has this feature, but probably there are some free PDF printers out there.

You have 3 posts (two in this thread): so where are your "high-end" questions (plural???)?
I second that.

There are some great guys on this forum.
And here I feel more "freedom", as frunee pointed out.

Oh I just figured out a solution. The problem was that the ASIO driver was blocking all other audio inputs. I just changed it to Microsoft Sound Mapper and everything is fine now. :D

When Sibelius 6 starts, all other programs go mute

Let's say I have any music player opened, like Windows Media Player or Winamp. It's playbacking normally. If I start Sibelius, the music player stops playbacking (it freezes), and while Sibelius is opened, the music player remains freezed, even if I close it and open it again. When I then close Sibe...

What you were doing right before they disappear?
I'd suggest you to search among the backups some point where they still exist, then continue working.
If they disappear again, pay attention to what caused it (probably some simple thing).

Indeed that's what I was doing, I just thought there could be some other way to do it, because it takes a lot of time.
Thanks Sebasian.

Multiple instruments in separate parts: how to?

I found it a little hard to explain since I don't know the correct terms, so I took a screenshot: http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/5341/multipleinstruments.jpg I have three clarinets. At the parts, the three clarinets appear on the same part : http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/2884/partbe.jpg How can...

Exactly.
Just like any other program, Sibelius uses the fonts installed on the operation system.

Is it possible to print EVERYTHING in blue?

Pretty straightforward question... the black cartridge of my printer is gone , and right now all I can do is print everything in blue (that's what I'm doing in Microsoft Word). Is there a way to print everything in blue in Sibelius 6?

Thanks in advance.
