The problem seems to have solved itself on my Mac Mini. After trying for about four days it decided to install. It did ask for access to Terminal, which I granted, then it was straight ahead. For all the difference it made to the way I use it, it probably wasn't worth the hassle.

Does anyone know how to make the wings on repeat bar lines bigger (longer) so that they can be seen more easily on stage?
I usually have to scribble bigger wings with a pen, which looks untidy, but it works.

Why does the update require a serial number?

Is there any way at all to get rhythm slashes to play back?
I'm not concerned with the whole chord playing back, just the rhythm figures, maybe with some sort of short percussion sound.
Any ideas, workarounds, etc.?

Sibelius 6.2 on a Mac Mini takes at least 4 minutes to fire up, whether from the app icon or a file icon.
It's a real pain.
Any suggestions?

The Jazztext font has some really good segnos and coda signs. I think I got it when I downloaded Finale Notepad.

In the last week or so Sibelius 6.2 on Mac has decided to place the jazz articulations a long way beneath the note, almost to the next staff. I can move them horizontally, but not vertically. I have tried the "Engraving Rules" menu, but it had no effect. Should I throw away my preferences?

I have quite a lot, but don't need them in Sibelius. Is there any way of stopping them being loaded?

I don't use them; how can I get rid of them and hopefully speed up startup time which is pain fully slow on my new Intel Mac Mini?
