Re: Stretching Measures

You can drag bars to the left or right by doing just that, with the mouse on the bar line or a handle if visible. Maybe it would be easier to see by turning on View > Handles. You can also drag individual notes left and right to make more space. Not sure if I'm quite getting what you want here, thou...

Re: Stretching Measures

If you click on Upload attachment below the message box when you reply you can navigate to your screen shot and attach it. Use Place inline to include it within the message if you like. jpg (or .gif) is probably the best format as there's quite a limited file size allowance. You could also attach yo...

Re: Stretching Measures

Hard to tell without seeing the score, but I would try:

- Layout > Unlock score
- Add some line breaks (Ctrl Enter)
- Appearance > Reset layout (on selected bars)
- Use Tidy Score plugin

Re: increase size of chord diagrams

Yes, just use Filters to select just chord symbols, and then go into the Inspector to adjust the scaling.

Re: Set beams of consecutive 8th notes to break in groups o

To have this done automatically you need to set the beam grouping when creating the time signature. If you click the Beam and Rest Groups button in the Create > Time signature dialogue you can choose how to group 8th notes/quavers (and other notes). For a 4/4 Time sig you'd want to group 8th/quavers...

Re: Spread chords

Looks like you need to add some space between the preceding bar line and the chord. Does it work if you drag the chord over to the right to leave a gap? You can resize the arpeggio symbol by dragging on the little square 'handle' that appears when you hover on it. It should work without doing this i...

Re: Clipboard

Hi. I think 'clipboard' is just the usual generic computer term that refers to the area of your computer's memory where things that you copy are temporarily stored, and are ready to be pasted elsewhere. Hence the standard cut, copy and paste actions are 'clipboard operations'. There is an area in th...

Re: How do I attach a Score?

You should be able to attach the file as a compressed .zip file, using Winzip or other file compression software, as long as it's under the size limit (256kB I think). I managed to do this this other day successfully. Sibelius (.sib) and (most) other extensions are unfortunately not allowed on this ...

Re: Cannot Find Score in Sib. 7

Sorry about that, it's a bit hit and miss with backup scores. If you have Photoscore (or another music scanning application) you might be able to 'recover' it that way, though that usually involves a lot of extra work.

Re: Cannot Find Score in Sib. 7

There may be a saved backup of the score in your Backup Scores folder. The location of this folder is given in File > Preferences > Saving and Exporting. By default the last 200 saved scores are kept, so you may be lucky and find it there. I'm not aware of any issues with Sib 7 deleting files by mis...

Perhaps you accidentally turned Multirests on. The toggle for Multirests is Ctrl + Shift + M.

Re: Edit staff size?

Staff size is under the Layout menu. You can enter 8mm in the text box, or use the up/down arrows to adjust the staff size.
