Re: Transposing?

Pretty much self-explanatory, e.g. in Sibelius 7.5:

Select part > Note Input > Transpose > Transpose by interval > Down > Major/Perfect > 3rd.

Re: Yellow Pages!!!

Sounds like you may have gone into Parts view by mistake somehow. Parts by default have the yelllowish 'parchment' paper background. This is deliberate so you know you're in a Part rather than the Whole score. If so: Press Esc a couple of times to be sure you're out of any editing mode you were in P...

Re: metric modulation

Typing the word 'straight' (without quotes) as tempo text (ctrl alt T) would, I believe, get things back to normal. Likewise 'swing' seems to be preferred over metric modulation notation.

Re: How do I add a new stave to a score

You need to think of a stave as an instrument , and use Home > Add Instrument (or just press I) > Others > unnamed (bass staff) > Add to score. Or you could add it as a bass notated instrument (like cello, etc). If you wanted a grand staff (piano etc) instrument all along, you could have started the...

Re: Printing question.

Can't see your image (you can use Upload attachments for jpg files), but it sounds like you want to hide the empty staves in your score:

Select all then go to Layout > Hiding Staves > Hide Empty Staves

Also check the reference manual and look for 'hide empty staves'.

Re: How can I play straight rythm after using metric modulat

It seems you can do this by typing the word 'straight' (without the quotes) as a metronome mark text. Can't test this at the moment but I got this info from the 'official' Sibelius forum: http://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/helpcenter/chat/chat.pl?com=thread&start=491382&groupid=3&&guest=1 Hope that hel...

Re: I can't move the systems where I want them.

Try setting the space between systems and then use reset space above and below on the whole score. Setting the staff size may also help, as may the margin widths. It will take a little experimenting to (hopefully) get it right. You might also need to unlock the format on the whole score first.

Re: Adding Instruments For Part Of Piece

It was a little fiddly, but only took a minute or two (as I recall) in the end. Definitely a workaround type of thing, maybe Avid will take notice if you (and enough others) post this issue on the 'official' Sibelius forum - unilkely they'll look in here. I suppose another way would be insert the ta...

Re: Guitar Chord Diagrams

Yes - well there is a plugin called Add Chord symbols which does some analysis of your selected chords (including Tab) and adds the chord symbols to the staves. It's then a simple matter to show chord diagrams, by a right click on the staves in question. Not sure how good this plugin is in a real-li...

Re: Adding Instruments For Part Of Piece

Looks like this may be possible in Sibelius, though not really a 'feature'. By adding Ossia (alternative) staffs above an otherwise empty bass tab part and then hiding the empty staves I came up with the following (trivial) example:

Any good?

Re: Changing Printout of Score.

Well, you have to change the layout in your Sibelius score to reflect what gets printed. Try the above suggestions and see if that improves things. If you just want a version to print, save a copy of the the original .sib file with a different name before you start adjusting layouts.

Re: Problem with Original Format Changing

At a guess, it seems that you may have somehow gone into Parts view for your score, which by default gives you the buff coloured 'paper' for each part (instrument), even if only one. The way to check is to see if you have more than one score tab showing under the Ribbon and above the top of the scor...

Re: Shifting Chords on the Score

You can select all/some the chords (only) by selecting the measures they're in and then using the Advanced filter > Chords text. You can then globally adjust their positions using the Inspector, or simply dragging.

Not sure why the ending lines aren't moving for you, will try and have a look later .

Re: Shifting Chords on the Score

You could select all the chords in question (use ctrl/cmd click) and then drag them above the repeat endings. Or use the Inspector to adjust the vertical (Y) displacement of the selected chords more accurately. A value of about +10 would probably do it. Personally though I'd drag the repeat endings ...

Indeed that's right, seems I paid £40 to upgrade back in 2014. By the looks of it any upgrade now will be to Sibelius 8.
