Sabasian I'm sorry, but I'm not quite understanding the steps you outlined. I understand I need to paste the trpt part into the piano part using voice 2 of the piano. After that the steps are not clear. 1, 2, and 3 seem to work. It's when I get to 4 I don't understand. I assume you mean while the tr...

Zep I understand about you don't have to save parts in Sib. That's why I'm confused. I use the term "saving parts" because when I go to the part and make a few changes on lets say the trumpet part, when I come back to that part the next day the changes are gone. Shouldn't they stay? I doubt very muc...

Printed parts not saved

I printed out all the parts of my score. I did some tweaking on each part and they look great printed out and, I thought I saved them. 1. I open my score 2, I click on Full Score at the top and choose any one of the parts 3. They look nothing like the parts I tweaked and thought I saved. 4. I open t...

Something is wrong. Let me explain exactly what I want to do. I want to copy the trumpet part and put it in the piano part as cued notes. I don't want to erase the piano part. I want to see both of them there. The piano notes as regular notes and the trumpet part as cued notes. So in essence I'm cre...

Entering Cue Notes?

Well, I've read the reference help many times on entering cues...I'm doing something wrong. It says copy the notes, which I did. Opt-Click where I want to put them. Not working. It's also saying to press F9 which is supposed to take me into Keypad 2 where the cued notes are. F9 just splits my screen...

Zep, first of all I don't know where you're from but, your English is perfect. You're way is better than mine. Thanks, The only difference is that I use a Mac instead of a PC, but I got it. I have another question that I posted earlier and I don't think I stated it clearly and that has to do with pr...

Transposing a score

I just transposed a section of a score I'm arranging. Here's the way I did it.

1. I copied the section (4 bars, not the drums)
2. I pasted it and transposed it up a 1/2 step (augmented unison)
3. I changed the key signature

This procedure worked. Is there an easier or faster way?

Piano Conductor

I have the singers' voice (thats 1 singer) with lyrics on a staff and the piano part (2 staves, treble and bass) on another as part a of big band arrangement. Can these 3 staves be joined together when I print out the parts to form a typical Piano/Conductor part with the orchestra cues in it also? T...

Entering Drum Parts?

I'm trying to enter drum parts and all I'm getting is one voice. I need to enter at least 3. Snare, cymbals, bass drum. And how do I get the stems to go up for the snare and cymbals and down for the bass drum which I want on the bottom space? I'm not concerned about playback just the printed parts a...

Increasing/decreasing bars on Parts

If I look at an extracted part and decide there are to many or too little bars on a staff, how do I decrease or increase them to make to part read better?

Why is it so difficult to find simple things like that in Sibelius?

Thanks

How does one add the words "Intro" to the top left of the first staff?

Thanks
