You have Sib 6? Then don't save your piece, just Export it. That's File / Export / Sibelius 2,3,4,5 / Sibelius 5.
Sorted!
If you want to send that $5 somewhere, donate it to a Cancer charity. I lost one of my closest friends to the Big C last week.

Without being rude... You do know how to write for strings? I ask because I teach some people Music Tech and their string writing is not that good. Simple block chords, as if it were played on piano, etc But hey, for all I know you may be a great arranger! :D Less is more for most of my string parts...

This is probably the most asked 'newbie' question I see on here. Perhaps the answer should be a sticky. :? You need to use different VOICES to form your chords. Read about using them in the Reference / Manual / on screen help. It's all there, really! So is the answer to your other problem. Go to Ins...

OK, point taken - I'm not talking about hymns etc, but about the heaps of books where they seem to have arbitrarily decided to notate things on 2 staves when it would have been so much clearer on 3. Were they just lazy, or trying to save paper, perhaps? I won't argue with you - life's too short for ...

Well, if wer'e quoting careers, I'll beat you by over 10 years on experience! :D :D I'd say the customer is often not right, just misinformed, thick, stubborn, obstinate and sometimes utterly devoid of knowledge about things, but alas they're still the customer. And I think 2 stave organ music...

Please, please don't follow the herd. Write organ music properly, on three staves. I'm not just talking classical music either. Plenty of my arrangements involve pedals that would be above top C on a home spinet organ, at the same time with left hand that goes right to the bottom of the bass stave, ...

In all seriousness, Sib will save you a lot of time with ML . Sure, there will always be a few things to sort out (can't remember ties being an ML issue, though and the slurs are, for the most part, just fine). It's lots of other things that will add up and make the 'out of the box' results better t...
