Re: Can't import Midi into two staves
The full version of Sibelius 7 will import multi stave midi's and display them corrrectly, don't know about the trial version. The file would have had to be exported properly as multi stave.

Re: photoscore PDF error masage
Not sure if this helps (I don't have a mac), but
1. Make sure your scanner drivers are up to date
2. Select Photoscore under Scanner settings > Interface.

Re: Rogue Key Signature and Clef
Sometimes a faulty scan and transfer from Photoscore (if uncorrected) can produce this effect. Don't know if that's what happened here. Can you provide more details?

Re: Lost part of an arrangement.
Check in your backup scores folder for autobackups - default in windows is something like C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Scores\Backup Scores. The actual location is set in Preferences > Saving and Exporting > Autobackup. Up to 200 backups in total are kept by default. A third part file recovery util...

Re: Open new file in same window
Not sure it can be changed, but it seems the Tabs bar is reserved for score and parts and versions (of the same score) on Sib 7/7.5. Different scores are always opened in a new window, so you may be stuck with Windows-style navigation. Perhaps someone else can enlighten us.

Re: Convert Rests
Have you tried Combine Tied notes and rests? (In Sib 7 under Note Input > Plugins > Simply notation).
Uncheck Ties in the dialogue (unless you want to combine those).

Re: How to: Octave transposition in a copied (magnetic) part
The simplest way to transpose, once you've copied and pasted the notes is to select the whole instrument part by triple clicking in any bar of that part - all the bars should turn blue, and then bring down the Transpose menu and transpose by the required interval. Shift T gets the Transpose menu on ...

Re: Notation beaming question
You should be able to drag the stem of the eight notes from the lower stave up to join the upper beam. Click on the stem, you should get a little blue handle box that you can drag up (or down). Does that work?

Re: Keeping lyrics intact when halving note values
Did you select the option to "Copy all objects in Bar (except system objects)"?
The initial settings for the Halve notes plugin is to Copy only notes, which does remove the lyrics, at least in version 2.20.00 as shipped with Sibelius 7.

Re: Append score without page break
Ok - try this. Hide the cautionary naturals or flats. Select whole of final bar including hidden cautionaries Go to Layout Menu > Reset Note spacing (or use CTRL + Shift + N) That places the final barline at the end of the bar - I'm not entirely sure why though! In fact looking through extra plugins...

Re: Append score without page break
Hmm, probably some more fiddling will be required, as is often the case. If you send me the score again, to the point at where you're up to now, I'll take a look again this evening after work. As a guess you may need to somehow insert a barline, or even fake it...

Re: Append score without page break
You'll have to hide these naturals, which Sibelius thinks of as cautionary key changes. You'll also get some cautionary flats, e.g. between A minor and B flat movements. You can hide all these with CTRL + Shift + H, which turns them transparent so you can see them but won't be printed. There also ma...

Re: Append score without page break
Ok, can you try this - turn the page breaks into system breaks.
In Sib 6 : Select a page break > Layout > Breaks > System Break
In Sib 7.5 : Select a page break > Right mouse click > Inspector > Change Page Break to System Break in the drop box
I think that does it...

Re: Append score without page break
Ok, I can see the problem, you've got extra barlines between movements above the staves. I'll have a look at later, unless someone else can look.
