Click the bottom of any barline and drag the (now visible) handle past the top of the staff.

There are hidden staves there, so unless you want the triangle connected to them, drag past the dotted line before you let go of the mouse.

How did you input the notes? By typing ir by playing? If the latter, try turning off Live playback. Also use the plugin "reset mixer for NotePerformer".

Look for dynamics attached to the wrong staff.

Insert a double barline.
Use [ctrl/cmd][shift]m to display single bar rests, insert the double barline then press [ctrl][shift]m again to display multirests.

BTW, I can't tell from your question whether you want a solid 4 or 1+3.

Make sure your PS is updated to the latest version available. If you can afford it, it's worth getting the full version. It works better and is more stable than the bundled version.

Which actual exact version of PS and Sib are you using? I have seen this type of behaviour when a later version of Sib is being used with an earlier version of PS. Is this the Free/bundled version of PS or the stand-alone paid for version?

The sibelius program itself uses a tiny amount of disc space. If you feel you are running short, uninstall the previous version first.

1. Turn off all auto breaks
2. Decrease your margin settings
3. Reduce the staff size slightly
4. Reduce the gap between staves

Do number 1. Then try the others one at a time.

Most ASIO providers are single client. That means only one application can use the driver at a time. This is a limitation of the driver, not sibelius. There ARE multi-client ASIO drivers about, but they tend to be proprietary and specific to particular hardware.

Open document setup and set the page and staff margins to something sensible!

Sibelius' mixer is awful and in great need of a revamp. Until then, we're stuck with it!

I have some bad news. Sibelius has always used the filetype .sib, except for the acorn version of Sibelius.
