Make sure too that you use Voice 1 for the higher parts and Voice 2 for the lower parts when you do this.

Well worth readind the Reference "Working with Voices" section as all this is well covered there.

There shouldn't be anny odd panning or fading when using Essentials in Sib 6.1. There are no such effects here!

If you still have 5 installed, along with its sounds, you can still use them. Much discussion and instructions over on the official Sibelius Forum. Suggest you have a look.

No, the music is an audio snippet, nothing to do with the loaded sounds.

If it's shown as a Bb, then click the b sign on the keypad, not the natural. That should solve the problem.

Weird! Something, somewhere must have screwed up your drivers or settings, but I'm glad you've sorted it out.

Similar set-up here, with Terratec and M-Audio cards. You're saying that the soundcard is getting no audio? Check that the playback device you're using in Sibelius (Sibelius Player, Kontakt Player or whatever) is set to use the correct drivers. If you've already done so, I'm stumped for the moment, ...

I think you'd be fine. You're not asking GPO to do that much in terms of CPU horsepower or RAM and the gap between 2.66 and 2.8 is marginal.

The higher voice should be voice 1, the lower one should be voice 2. Get this the wrong way round and you get what you've got now!

It can't export an XML file. You'll need to buy the Dolet plugin from Recordare.

A good old chestnut! Try hard quantizing the Logic tracks, making sure that each note is precisely on its intended beat, and then export to a midi file. You can also use Sib's filtering to set quantise and minimum note values etc. But whatever you do, expect some work to get a decent looking score f...

If you're using Soundfonts, I guess you have a Creative Soundblaster card, which can load and use them. In which case it should be possible to make Sibelius 'see' it, but I can't help you with the details, as Creative products were banned 'chez moi' some years ago. There may be a Soundblaster forum ...

As I said in an earlier post, there may still be a VSTi that can handle soundfonts. One of the sample players like Native Instruments' Kompakt, perhaps. And I repeat my advice about GPO4, which works seamlessly with Sibelius. For top quality solo strings, check out Garritan's Stradivari and Gofrille...

No offence meant, my friend, but it was indeed a very basic question. I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn that a great many posts from apparent newbies (# of posts = 1 or 2 etc) also ask very basic questions that they could have answered themselves if they'd looked at even the first few pages o...

Check the FAQ's on the Sibelius site - I think it's question A563 - a simple fix for many instances of this problem.
