You need to make sure that the sound ID you have specified for the pizz. and arco sounds in the Manual Sound Sets page of Play > Playback Devices match the sound IDs used by the instruments you're using to switch between. Try setting channel 1 to the sound ID "strings.violin" and channel 2 to the so...

Until such time as Sibelius fully supports Kontakt 4, you can't use it in the same way as Kontakt Player 2.

If you don't want to see Kontakt Player 3 in the Playback Devices dialog, delete the VST/AU from /Library/Audio/Plug-ins.

Put an end repeat barline where you want the section to repeat, then open the Playback panel of the Properties window, select the barline, and switch on the 'Play on pass' checkbox labeled '2'.

Yes, for now, you have to fix each gliss. line individually: they're not automatically positioned by noteheads. This is on our wish list for future versions. One thing you may want to try for now to see if it's a workable option for you is to use guitar slides (. key on the second Keypad layout), wh...

We're not "promoting" Kontakt Player 2. We had an agreement with Native Instruments to distribute Kontakt Player 2 with Sibelius 5. We do not have an agreement with Native Instruments to distribute any later versions of Kontakt or Kontakt Player with Sibelius, though Sibelius does support Kontakt 3....

Finale's Human Playback is pretty good. It combines several things that are automatic and built-in in Sibelius via a plug-in that adds a whole bunch of hidden MIDI data in Finale to make the playback richer. Sibelius does many of the things that Human Playback does automatically, e.g. humanising the...

This is on our list of things to fix in a future version. I'm afraid it's not a super high priority, but it's definitely on the list.

It sounds like you want to extract parts for individual players. Simply choose File > Print All Parts and Sibelius will print out one part for each instrument in your score.

Select the whole bar, so it's surrounded by a light blue box, then type Shift+Alt+right arrow to make the bar bigger.
