Could really use an insert vs. override option
When entering data, if I have a string of, say, eighth notes with a quarter in the middle, I'd like to play them in as eighths, and change the one quarter to a quarter and have the rest of the bar push to the right, as opposed to overwrite the existing data. Conversely, when I delete a note, I'd lik...

Good point, Laurence. But I use software to make things LESS complicated, not more. If I need to do this I can, but what I want is full control, not a default position determined solely by the software. So this is still an issue: the proper solution is to allow any object to be placed anywhere, and ...

Chord Symbol Display Squashed-up-how to fix?
With some instruments, using Chord Symbols and slash notation results in the chords colliding badly. If I have a chord like Bb13(+11) followed by another chord on the next beat, there is always an overlap. How can I resolve this without having to insert fake invisible rests?

Temporary suspension of bar length
This may already exist in some more complex manner, but it would be nice to be able to temporarily enter more data than will fit metrically in a bar, then edit the note lengths - very time-saving if you're step entering from a midi keyboard, or entering a series of 16ths alternating with eighths, or...

Treat tuplets like any other note objects
Sibelius should recognize that a tuplet is also a real note (or in fact, that all objects are some special case of tuplet, like 1/2 for a half note, or 1/4 for a quarter, etc. It would mean a significant change in how timing was treated, but in the end, it would save much grief. If I wish to set a h...

Guys, I'm doing all of these things (more or less). But it's still a PITA compared to the ability to just drag the selected notes and have the remaining objects move to the end of the selection (or bar.) Similar to Word's drag-and-drop. Just because you CAN do something does not mean the method is o...

Make an overall score display length longer - how?
I have a score with several instruments that have a 2 1/2 page layout in individual parts. I would like these to expand to fill the page, at least enough to give some greater spacing to the notes in certain sections. I know I can try to adjust individual and minimum spacing of notes, but is there a ...

A Way to Loop continuously?
I'd like to have the ability to continually replay a short section - oe or two notes - either to sustain indefinitely or just repeatedly loop wile I adjust voices looking for the perfect chord voicing. Is this possible in Sib 5?

Two questions - self-changing instruments+extracting parts
Hi. I just bought Sibelius (haven't even received it yet!) and got it for one reason only. I have been using Allegro, which I did not like but mostly worked, until I imported my 11/8 big band score. The result bears no resemblance to readable, and I cannot rebar properly no matter what I do. So I bo...
