Sibelius has the stems in the correct direction. If you really want to flip the stems, then highlight the first note in the group, then hit X. In the pic you've highlighted the beam. Better, perhaps to just put up with it while you input, then use Layout/Optimise Staff Spacing and let Sibelius sort ...

I haven't used it myself. I do review Vienna's products but haven't got many - yet.
There is always the official Sibelius forum. Go to sibelius.com and follow the links to the technical chat page. VSL (and everything else) is dicussed there.

Sibelius allows for 2 concurrent installations. So you can have it on both. But of you are moving it permanently to the new PC, then unregister it first and re-register on the new PC.

Hmmm. Sounds OK for chords over notes now. I obviously don't put that many chord symbols in over whole bar rests! Manually shifting them may be the quickest solution in this case.

Sorry, but I'd ignore that advice for the moment. it's accurate and well meant, I know, but I'd still tell you to go watch the video before you start doing anything. You will learn a lot.

How are you entering the chord name, as this behaviour sounds non-standard.

By default, the chord symbol is centred on the note. In the full version, you can change this to left-align the symbols with the notes. Not sure about First. You should also be able to shift chord symbols manually. Again, In Sib you can select the whole score or a passage, then filter for chord symb...

I'd suggest that you stop dragging the staves around. It really is the fastest way to mess up a layout. It's sometimes necessary but there are better ways of getting what you want. Sibelius doesn't act 'randomly' at all in this area, but you have to understand how it works. I'd also suggest (unless ...

In the standard version of Sibelius, just select a note, press CTRL+K and type in the chord. Use the space bar to move to the next note.

Not sure if First is exactly the same, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't. Try it.

Sorry, I was expecting to find the Harmonica in the Sib Player. It's in the GM Module, so amend your configuration (or create a new one) to use that as well. Then you'll find your Harmonica where you expect it in Winds.

Create a playback configuration that has both Sibelius Player and Aria Player active and make sure you use the GPO4 and Sibelius Essentials soundsets as appropriate. That way you can correctly use sounds from both, so your harmonica should be back.

Layout/Document Setup, then check the Staff Size. Adjusting this does indeed change everything in the score relatively.

If you wish to share your own original, or non copyright (public domain) material, why not simply 'print' it to a pdf file, put it on a hosting site - Box.net, for example - and let people have the links. They can then download and print the sheets without Sibelius or Scorch. Sharing the sib files t...

There's some fakery involved here, inputting the half notes in voices 1 and 2, right shifting the voice 2 notes into place, flipping their stems and adding fake beams and 3's. Just do it once, then copy the whole lot! As far as the 3 or 6 goes, I was in two minds about this. 6 would show that there ...
