Re: Lowering Chord Symbols Above The Staff
Following your directions but, cannot set height. I entered some chord symbols in my score and in the box where it says "vertical position relative to staff" I changed the numbers to adjust the height and nothing happened.

Re: Lowering Chord Symbols Above The Staff
I'm still not getting this procedure. I already have a big band template which I made when I first started Sibelius. Isn't that MSS paper? How do I export to MSS? Do I export the entire score after I'm finished with my score? Sorry, just don't understand.

Re: Lowering Chord Symbols Above The Staff
MIKe, I don't understand what you mean when you say "Set up your chord symbols' default positions and then export a MSS paper from that file." What is MSS paper?

Lowering Chord Symbols Above The Staff
Is there a way of going into Sibelius and permanently lowering the chord symbols (F, C7 etc) above a staff so that when you enter the chord symbols above the staff in a new song the chord symbols will appear in the lowered position? I'm wasting a lot of time lowering each chord symbols one manually.

Re: Stems in Drum Part
Mike, again you're absolutely correct about the stems. I never took to time to enter all the snare notes first then the bass drum notes. I was using the x to change the direction of the stems, I won't anymore. Thanks again.

Stems in Drum Part
When writing a drum part I use voice 1 for my snare and voice 2 for my bass drum. When I enter the snare notes first the stems are pointed up which is where they should be. Now, when I start to enter the bass notes the snare stems turn facing down. If I enter the bass drum first the stems will face ...

Re: Parts Duplication Problem.
Mike, you really know this program. I followed your suggestions and the parts I want to print out are working out pretty good. I did have to play around with it a little, but I'm getting it slowly. Thanks for your help.

Parts Duplication Problem.
Going to Parts/Layout/Copy Part Layout will open a window which shows the Source Part in the left column and the Destination Part in the right column. You highlight the part you want in the Source column and then you highlight the part you want to duplicate the layout in the right Destination column...

Re: 2,3 ending?
Yes, there is a D.S. Let me give you the road map so to speak. By the way this is a Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, Kevin Savigar and Jim Cregan song called Forever Young. So, the song begins and goes down to the first ending and repeats back to a certain measure. It now continues on to the 2.3 ending which...

Right Mike, in this case play back is not needed, just for reading purposes.

Re: 2,3 ending?
Mike I don't know what you mean by hook or RHS. I'm redoing a piece of sheet Music that has the 1st ending and then the 2nd ending has the 2.3 in it.

2,3 ending?
So I have the 1st ending, but when I comes to the 2nd ending I also need a 3rd ending which is part of the 2nd ending. In the 2nd ending there is the 2. so how do I write in a 3 right next to it?
