Use the filters. This is a...

Re: Chords Not Playing
1. Sibelius will not playback chord symbols. If you want the chords to play, either write them in for real on a (hidden) staff or use the plugin "Realize chord symbols" 2 You probably either pressed w with the piano part selected or you have otherwise opened the piano part. Look at the tabs on the t...

Re: Export Video files
Clarinet (and trumpet for that matter) parts in the score are usually written at transposed pitch. The music is transposed up by a major 2nd, so if the violins are in C, the clarinets will be in D.

Re: Incorrect note grouping
Here's my thought on the matter - if you set up a dotted eighth before you input, Sibelius will place a dotted eighth. Because that is what you asked it to do. And yes, it will ignore the beaming rules - because you told it to. Sibelius is not psychic. It cannot read your mind. If you tell it to do ...

Re: Uninstructed jump in playback
We can't possibly diagnose this without the actual score to examine. I might guess that there's a manual repeat somewhere, but you'd have to check in Play-->Repeats-->Manual repeats. Other than that, send the score to me via email (mike@mike-lyons.co.uk)

Re: playback of solo viola and cello sound distant and weird
Have you checked the faders in the mixer and the pan levels? There are also other adjustable parameters which may (or may not) make the sound better. Personally, I'd get NotePerformer. It works with Sibelius, Finale and Dorico and the quality of the sound is far superior (if you ignore the slighly a...

Re: MultiRests - Side by Side
Replace the normal barline between the bars with a 'special normal' barline OR use "Split multirest" (on the layout tab of the ribbon) on that barline.

Re: Capital letters and lower case letters in chords
I don't generally use chord symbols in my own work, but I understand that if you switch on Legacy chord symbols you can pretty much type in what you want.
