How about putting it in in TAB and then copying it onto a staff? Does that help any?

No version after Sib 6 has Input maps. I think they stopped implementing them.

The sibelius sounds library has not been updated since 7.5.1.

You will need to login to your Avid Account with your normal credentials and/or provide your System ID/activation ID.

Goto File-->Preferences-->Other and it's there on the bottom right.

You don't say what your OS is. If you are on a Mac and it has been upgraded to Big Sur then give up now. You will NEVER get Sib 7 of any variety to work on that OS. This, for once, is a deliberate ploy by Apple, nothing to do with Avid.

Andy has just reminded me. You will have a configuration on the Play tab of the ribbon called NotePerformer. There's much more to NP than just the sound files. There are (in Windows) registry entries and dll/xml files to be removed from various locations - including the sibelius VST folder(s).
