Sorry, I can't help, I'm still on Sibelius 7.5 and don't intend to upgrade anytime soon. Use an image processing app/tool to resize and/or save as another lower quality image type. Hard to tell without looking at the score. Have you tried unlocking the format (Cmd Shift U), and Optimise? You may have to to recreate the individual parts again.

Have you looked under Notations > Symbols > Repeats, or searched for Repeat 2 bars in the ribbon? Can't say for certain as I don't have Sibelius First, but it seems to have been available in older versions. May have been nobbled along with many others in the current version of course.

I don't have the latest version, so not sure, but it sounds like a bug may have been introduced. You may have to go the official community forum on the Avid site to get an answer and/or log this issue as a bug.
