Re: Unexpected Volume Change
Unfortunately I couldn't open the file you attached when I unzipped it. Says it was created in a newer version of Sibelius 7.5.1, even though I do have 7.5.1. Perhaps someone else here can take a look, or you can try on the official community pages at Avid.com. Obviously this is probably the first s...

Re: Question about Playback...
The easiest way is to open the Mixer (Panels > Mixer = Tick) and slide the volume down to zero for any instruments you don't want to hear. Make a note of the initial volume to go back, or undo to reset it. You could also press the M button in the Mixer to Mute the instrument, though I never really u...

Re: Hidden Notes No Longer Playing Back!
Ah, glad you sorted it out and it was something straightforward, though admittedly an annoying 'new feature'. The Avid developers must have been taking lessons from Bill Gates!

Re: Hidden Notes No Longer Playing Back!
Sorry, I can't help, I'm still on Sibelius 7.5 and don't intend to upgrade anytime soon. It's gone very quiet on this forum lately, and I only check once a week or so nowadays, but others may be able to answer you if/when they see this. You could try attaching your example by wrapping it up as .zip ...

You probably have Panorama view set. Press Shift P to toggle back to page view.

Re: moving the bottom staff
Sorry, still can't see the image. Don't know if HEIC will be recognised, best use jpg if possible. Have you clicked Place Inline in Attachments? 100Kb should be fine size-wise. Couldn't find the exact limit in FAQs, but there are images around 250Kb from other posts successfully attached. Under Layo...

Re: moving the bottom staff
Use an image processing app/tool to resize and/or save as another lower quality image type. Jpg/Jpegs are normally good enough quality to get the idea and around 800 pixels wide should be enough resolution. I normally use Paint in Windows, no idea what you have on Macs, but there should be something...

Re: assigning 2nd voice in two-part piece
Hmm, there doesn't seem to be another way, other than inputting those notes again in another voice. Not that I can find anyway, and there's no handy plugin I can see that does it. Sibelius seems to 'lock' the voices down once they've been 'tupletised', which is rather annoying here. Did a bit of Goo...

Re: Messed up Margins
Hard to tell without looking at the score. Have you tried unlocking the format (Cmd Shift U), and Optimise? You may have to to recreate the individual parts again.

Re: 2 bar repeat sign Sibelius First
Have you looked under Notations > Symbols > Repeats, or searched for Repeat 2 bars in the ribbon? Can't say for certain as I don't have Sibelius First, but it seems to have been available in older versions. May have been nobbled along with many others in the current version of course.

Re: Appending Measures no longer possible
I don't have the latest version, so not sure, but it sounds like a bug may have been introduced. You may have to go the official community forum on the Avid site to get an answer and/or log this issue as a bug.

Re: Shadowed notes
Not sure what you mean by 'shadowed', I haven't come across this behaviour before. Perhaps if you could post a screenshot that would help find out what's going on. A score would be better (you can attach it as a zip file), but unless you convert it to Sib 7.5 I can't look at it. Firstly though, does...

Re: Retrieving A Deleted Score
If the notes were created in the same session you may be able to use Undo (Ctrl/Cmd Z) repeatedly to get them back. Use carefully (slowly) though as I've had Sibelius crash and restart when I've done 'too many' quick undos. Otherwise, have you looked in your Backups folder? The frequency and locatio...

Re: Pedal markings have to be made much easier
I'm sure you're right, but sadly Sibelius developers are highly unlikely to answer your requests on this forum, This is an unofficial (despite its name) user forum, and is very quiet these days. There are only a few of us still around here, trying to help where we can. As a mainly wind player this i...

Re: Capotasto (Capo)
There doesn't seem to be a specific symbol for capo(tasto) in Sibelius. Best I can think of is if the notation for cello is anything like that for guitar (forgive my ignorance), you could fake it with a dashed line and/or text. Something like this: Capo I.png or this: Capo II.png Select the dashed l...
