Re: How to unite these notes?

Just a thought - have you already locked the format of these bars? That could be why the other notes are not adjusting to give a better looking result. Select just the bar with the notes you want to move and then press [ctrl][shift]n (reset note spacing). Then move the semiquaver. Do the other notes...

Re: Placements and Time Signature problems

1. Select the bar which is to start the new exercise and open the Inspector. Look for Gap Before Bar and set it to a suitable value. 2. Insert the TS using the [ctrl/cmd]t method or use the rt click menu. In the TS dialog, there is an option to show cautionary sigs. Uncheck this box. With a TS that ...

Re: How to unite these notes?

Well, that did not happen with my example. If, however, you are having this issue, move the crotchets instead. Use a positive value - probably +1.16

Select the first note in voice 2 and set its x offset in the inspector to -1.16. Job done!

Re: Can I export in midi selected measures?

OK, having finally been able to get at my machine, looks like you can only export the full score as MIDI. An alternative would be to export selection as score and then export that score as MIDI. I would actually recommend exporting as MusicXml. Most DAWs will accept that and the results might actual...

Re: Can I export in midi selected measures?

If you are using sib 8, I think you should be able to export selection as midi. There is a plugin for this. You might have to download it (File-->plugins-->Install plugins) then look for Export. This will bring up a list of plugins with export in the description. It should be straightforward from th...

Re: How to unite these notes?

How's about describing the issue in WORDS?
What voices are the notes in? Have you done anything with the settings in the inspector? (Nudge the notes in one direction or another)
Have you tried using [ctrl][alt][left/right arrow]?
Have you searched the manual ( press F1 with Sibelius open)?

Re: Amending default fingering position for piano bass clef

Hi, sorry, but I accidentally deleted your message! There are two places you can adjust the size and position of the fingering text. One is on the text menu under text styles, click the little arrow in the bottom right corner. There you can change many aspects of the text all items in that style wil...

Set the default position for the fingering text style to be below the note. I'm not at my machine at the moment, but look on the appearance tab.

Re: New Sibelius Ultimate can't see VSTs

Sibelius no longer has 32 bit versions. The latest ultimate version is fully 64 bit.
Is your NotePerformer up-to-date? If you haven't updated that, you could be using the wrong dll.

Re: Staves snapping too far to the bottom of the page

Be awarecthat, if you do this, then later use reset space above/below, or some other function that changes page justification settings, you'll have to do it all again. Better to change the Justify staves when x% full setting. Sib automatically sets it to 60% which is way too small. Change it to 80 o...

Re: Sibelius 6.2.0 Best Piano, strings woodwind sounds

Sibelius 6.2 is now very, very old and no longer supported by Avid. Also it will not work on any mac. However, if you want better sounds, you should go for something like NotePerformer. The sound quality is generally much higher, but both the price and the footprint on your computer are much lower. ...
