Re: Adding Different Voices
OK, I think we're making some progress. Here's what I found. I did what you suggested about using (alt, opt in Mac) and the numbers up top of the keyboard to change the voices and I can do what I want to do with no problem if I put the notes in using my mouse. If I use Flexitime it gets screwed up a...

Re: Adding Different Voices
I"m trying to read the manual and it's not working for me. I clicked on voice 1 on the Keypad and recorded a short melody. I then click on voice 2 on the Keypad and started to put in voice 2 with my mouse. When I did that voice 1 changed to voice 2. I stopped. Why is voice 1 changing to voice 2?

Adding Different Voices
I can write a drum part using the different voices: bass drum on voice 1, snare on voice 2 etc. But, now I'm trying to create a lead sheet with little cued in voices. There's the regular melody with lyrics but, on the repeat there is a second verse that mostly matches the first verse, but not always...

Re: Shortcut for Record Button?
Thanks for the reply Mike. Yes, now that you mention it I do use "R" all the time to repeat notes or other things. I'll try Shift R on my Mac with Flexitime or maybe some other one key shortcut.

Shortcut for Record Button?
I have never seen a record button for Sibelius on my keypad. Is it possible to create one? I would like to use the letter R.

Re: To Complicated To Give It A Name
It's Fixed! What I decided to do was to start all over. I went to Sibelius>File>New and created a new piano template and everything works the way it should now. There must have been some kind of glitch in the old template preventing it from working correctly. I'm able to do exactly what I want to do...

Re: To Complicated To Give It A Name
Mike thanks for your reply. I just tried what you suggested and everything is still the same. Don't understand why my piano template would be different than my big band template. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

To Complicated To Give It A Name
At some point I created a template of a big band score. When I enter a chord name like Abmaj7 it will automatically change to a A(with a triangle next to it) or I can go up top and click on Text then go over to the right and choose "Equivalent Chord Text" and keep clicking on that and I can choose a...

Re: Chord Notation
I'm also getting Am( ▵ ). The triangle usually means a major seventh chord or note in this case. I must have changed maj.7 to the triangle in Engraving Rules at some point. This works for me. The version of Sibelius I have is 15.0. Thanks for your reply.

Chord Notation
How do I properly notate a cmi with a major 7th? I thought it was this: cmi+7, but it's showing up a red on the score instead of black. The notes are C, Eflat, G, B.
