Not Right Bass Sound
I'm using Sib.7. All the play back instruments are fine except the bass. I'm getting what sounds like an arco (bowed) bass sound and what I want is an upright plucked bass sound. In play bace devices: Configuration - General Midi Basic Active Devices - DLSMusicDevice When I click on Test, I hear the...

It this possible?
Is it possible to hear an instrument like the piano by playing my midi keyboard? Sometimes I may want to try something out on my midi KB before I actually input the notes. If it's possible I haven't figured it out yet. I know in my sequencing program that's the way it's done. You play the note on th...

Re: Lost Bar Lines
Problem resolved. I simply closed the song without saving the changes and the barlines came back.

Lost Bar Lines
Don't know what I did, but I lost all bar lines in my bass part in the score. The other parts in the score are fine.
How do I get them back?
Thanks.

I have a piano part in my score with both hands written for about 10 bars and the rest I have slash marks in the right hand with chord symbols above it and the left hand is then empty. Is there a way of when I print out the parts to to eliminate the left hand where it is not playing and just have on...

Re: Hiding Stems
Yes, that did it. On my Mac I pressed Comm-Shift-H and that hid the tail and then I followed the rest of your suggestion to hide the stem. It's a little bit of a process, but since it doesn't happen often it's OK. I see you live in London. I have a friend who lives in Gerrards Cross a suburb of Lond...

Re: Hiding Stems
It works if the note is a quarter note. If it's and eight note with a little flag on it, it doesn't seem to work. You can drag the flag down, but it doesn't disappear. Sibelius can do do much and this seems like a simple thing to do.
Thanks

Hiding Stems
In writing the drum part I have the bass drum on the bottom space with the stem going down in voice 2. I have the snare drum on space 3 with the stem going up in voice 1. Now I want to put a cymbal on line 5, but without the added stem, don't need it since the snare drum has a stem going up. I went ...

Hiding Empty Piano Staves?
I have a regular piano part in my score that has two staves, treble and bass, and I'm really just using one, the treble or right hand. I'm using slash marks in the right hand with chord symbols underneath the slash marks. There are a few measures with right hand and left hand music or notes, but not...

First page of Score is larger.
When I look at my score the first page is the largest and the rest of the pages are about two thirds the size. Now I don't mind it when I'm writing because I can just hit the + and make the score bigger, but when I'm printing out the score I would like each page the same size. I can't seem to change...

Re: Coda Sign not on all parts.
I just observed something. I went into the extracted part, Tenor Sax 1 and added the coda sign. When I went back to the full score there were now 2 coda signs. The second one, which was the one I just added to the Tenor sax 1 part, was a little to the right of the first one. So I deleted the first o...

Coda Sign not on all parts.
When I click on the + on the upper right side of my score to view the parts, all the parts have a coda sign at the coda except the 1st. Tenor Sax and the 4th. Trumpet. Can anyone tell me why these two instruments don't have the coda sign at the coda and all the other parts do?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Going from Logic Pro X to Sibelius.
I just tried XML and when I brought it into Sibelius it looked terrible. It would take too much time to make it look like the score it should be. Unless there is another way of doing this I'll just have to enter it into Sibelius the regular way, one instrument at a time. Are there any other programs...

Going from Logic Pro X to Sibelius.
I'm pretty sure I can send a midi file to Sibelius, but when Sibelius gets it will it come out as a score with all the instruments listed correctly? Will I have to do much to it?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Playback Line
Your right, it is green. Didn't look close enough. But, is there a way of changing the color to make it darker?
