I have a miodi out and a midi in on our Casio AP 33 piano and have connected a midilink midi to usb cable. In Sibelius>preferences>input devices none are being detected. I have tried with the out connected to out and in to in and also in to out and out to in.

What else can I try?

What operating system? What MIDI/USB adaptor do you have.?Is it said to be 'class compliant' or does it need drivers for the O/S? Does it show up as a MIDI device in Windows Control Panel? Are you plugging everything in and turning on the piano before you start Sibelius? Check all these things first.

BTW, some USB/MIDI adaptors, especially the real cheap ones, are c**p, and just don't work properly. Most are OK!

PS Outs always go to Ins, and Ins to Outs. Never connect an In to an In or an Out to an Out. It won't work!

A look at the connections on the bottom.

Has anyone sampled the various broker mentioned here, and can they tell which one is the best?
