External monitor freaks out GUI of score

Hi there,

When I plug in the projector and the interactive whiteboard it automatically changes my screen resolution on my macbook to a lower resolution.

Then when I look at my scores the staves don't match the paper size and are hanging over the edges.

Any ideas on this? I can post a screen shot.
