Is there a way to save selections in Sibelius 6? I have searched the manuals and can find nothing.

Thanks much

If you mean you want to cut out and keep a section of score for future use, save it as an Idea (Edit > Capture Idea, shortcut Shift+I).

See details in Section 5.11 of the Reference.

Actually what I want to do is export selections as a midi file. The Ideas routine may work. I will give it a try.

Thanks

There is a downloadable plug-in which allows you to create a new score from a selection, and you can then export it as a MIDI file.

http://www.sibelius.com/download/plugin ... plugin=282

Actually you can make a new copy of the score yourself, then delete the sections you don't want and delete or mute staves you don't want to hear.

MIDI export is File > Export > MIDI file
