Midi keyboard, sound comes later with playback.

hi,

I have a midi usb-keyboard which i set up on my Sibelius 7 software, but when i play the keyboard the sound comes later which makes it difficult to play. it isn't very late (0.5 sec.) but very annoying. Does anybody know any solution for this problem?

1- better audio card, with ASIO capablity
2 - (cheaper!) install ASIO4ALL on your system and see if you can get the latency down to workable levels. If this fails, see option 1!
