Sib 6 playback device/driver response issue

I would like to know if there is an update, or a fix to the problem that reoccurs when plugging and unplugging audio drivers. My external driver, onyx 1220i, will sync to sibelius, but requires a restart of the program each time it is plugged and unplugged. With laptop computers I enjoy the freedom to move in out of studio with my device and I hate having to restart the program, or worse I hate plugging my driver back in upon returning to the studio and getting the wheel of death because I hadn't planned accordingly. Programs like ableton allow me to freely toggle between drivers with out re-booting, is there a way to train sibelius to be sympathetic to my needs?
