Trial will not launch past update check dialogue box

I've just downloaded Sibelius to my PC to start the 30 day trial and when I run the program the following happens:

-Trial/Activation dialogue box appears. I choose "Continue Trial"

-Intro loading window appears and shows loading components

-Check for updates dialogue box appears

-No matter which option I choose, the dialogue box closes, the intro window and nothing happens. Absolutely nothing.

I've checked in task manager and the program is definitely running in the background, but I can't see any other evidence of it.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and still nothing.

Any suggestions?
