I write in one key but Sibelius plays back one tone higher. What should I do? Please help.

Sounds like you're writing for a Bb transposing instrument and have input the notes in a non-transposing score.

Actually, I am writing for a piano. I also tried to restart Sibelius and write again in a different score, but with the same result.

Are you inputting note with a midi, or usb, keyboard, or with a mouse and computer keyboard? Does Sibelius notate the proper pitch but not play it? Mac or PC?

You may be writing for piano, but did you set the score up from scratch with a piano as the Instrument?

And how about the sample rate for playback? Is that perhaps set to 48KHz rather than 44.1KHz.
