Now that Windows 10 has been shipped, maybe a good time to get feedback of user experience. I successfully installed on Acer Aspire E5-571 notebook running Windows 10 with no obvious problems. Maybe I've been lucky - any other experiences?

Same here - early days yet (for me), but no problems with any of my installed applications, including Sibelus 7.1. I'm also using an Acer laptop/notebook. I'll give it some more time to settle in, but if it still looks good in a month or so I'll probably upgrade my other 2 laptops to W10.

I am unlucky.

Installed W10 yesterday, Sibelius 7.1 worked well. Late evening it had a problem with the audio device (I use two devices, internal from the pc, realtek, and a external M-Audio).

Today, invoking Sibelius crashes and it enters debug mode. It is unusable. I am stuck, possibly no hopes to get it up and running :(
thanks

As of this date, Avid says that Sibelius 8 is completely compatible with W10. They haven't completely cleared 7. But many people are not having problems. There could be a driver problem with your audio devices. Make sure they are up to date. You can go back to your old OS if you need to.

This is my first post so sorry if I'm in the wrong place.

I have just bought a surface 4 to use with Sibelius and StaffPad.

I have been using Sibelius since the Acorn days and currently have 7.1

I am not sure if the problem is related to Windows 10 or the Surface 4 but basically, if I click on Sibelius it won't load and seems stuck (using a lot of RAM and processor) trying to load start screen. However, if I click directly on a score file it loads and works.

Same problem when quitting a score, it tries to load starting screen and fails but you can see in task manager about 33% use of processor next to Sibelius icon!

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same issue as above! I bought the surface pro 4 over the ipad pro because I could install Sibelius onto it and work from wherever. However upon installing, it holds on the start screen, then the "check for updates" window pops up. Then, upon making my selection on the updates window, Sibelius closes immediately. I can't open anything. Please advise? Thank you

I checked and was happy to find that the RME Firewire products are listed with Windows 10 compatibility. I have the RME400.
