Sibelius 8.6 on M1 macbook

Hi,
Looks like my copy of perpertual license Sibelius 8.6 academic won't work properly on the new M1 Macbook. It opens and runs but there are problems with playback + chord entry and lyric entry at least. Does anyone know if support is likely or of any hacks to get it working? I don't really want to shell out to "upgrade" and am thinking about jumping ship to ... well you know what's out there! One of them.
