When you add an accidental to the first of two tied notes, it changes the second one. For example, if you have two tied Cs and change the first to C# it will change the second tied note to C Natural. Then you have to go a remove the natural on the tied note. Tied notes can't change pitch! Seems like a bug rather than a feature

One of many! This is one reason why I am so annoyed with them over the blessed iPad development. There are so many of these bugs that have been hanging around for decades!
