Newbie/oldie or oldie/newbie here: started using Notator & Logic in the late 80s, moved to Sibelius 7 but haven't used it for almost 10 years and I've forgotten how to connect properly. I used to write a lot of music this way and need to get back into composition - I need the notation element more than anything else, although I was also pretty good with all the elements.
Connecting to old but good Yamaha CVP-205 (used to be top-of-the-range, but only has MIDI ports so connecting via a MIDI-USB device).
Sibelius connects & shows connection but there's no MIDI throughput, no sounds. All-channel MIDI is set on the keyboard. I remember (from 10 years ago) a friend telling me I needed a helper app - is this the case and if so which? If not, how do I enable it so I can hear & see the keyboard?
Can anyone help with basic advice, please?
